About

Forth Space offers support for transitions, transformations, and everything in between. We believe that insight and healing happen when therapy is rooted in relationship—not just technique. That’s why our approach blends evidence-based modalities, deep listening, and a collaborative spirit that honors each person’s strengths, complexity, and context.

The practice began with a vision for something more relational, more resonant. A space that could hold nuance, creativity, and care – especially for people who don’t always feel at home in traditional systems. Since then, it’s grown into a collaborative team of therapists who bring clinical depth, real-world insight, and a wide spectrum of lived experience to their work. Many of the people we work with don’t quite fit the mold – and wouldn’t want to. We’re here for those who think deeply, feel intensely, and want to move through life with more clarity, freedom, and intention.

What sets us apart

We blend clinical depth with a strong sense of humanity. Across our team, you’ll find therapists who are curious, collaborative, and deeply committed to meeting people where they are – with care, integrity, and real presence.

We’re not here to give you a textbook treatment plan or offer advice from a pedestal. We work relationally – meaning we get to know you, not just your symptoms – and we bring both skill and warmth to the table. Whether we’re building coping tools, unpacking relational patterns, or making sense of who you’re becoming, we’re here to support the process, not rush the outcome.

The name of our practice reflects the spirit of our work. It nods to the idea of a “third space” — a place beyond home or work where people can gather, reflect, and connect — while “forth” points to movement: toward insight, healing, and what’s next. We hope to offer a space to be yourself, explore what matters, and grow in a direction that feels more like you.

Modalities + Approach

We meet people where they are – whether that means developing ways of coping, unpacking generational patterns, processing trauma, or figuring out how to exist more freely in systems that are designed to disconnect us from our own power. We don’t rush toward solutions, but we also don’t stay stuck in the abstract. We help people move forward with intention.

Our work is shaped by curiosity, clinical care, and the belief that people are doing the best they can with the tools they’ve been given – and deserve better tools. Our team draws from modalities like:

  • EMDR

  • DBT

  • Depth work & psychoanalytic therapy

  • Person-centered & trauma-informed care

  • Practical coaching & values-aligned action

  • Deep knowledge of LGBTQ+ identity, neurodivergence, & complex trauma

Meet our Founder

Rachel Jones Linn, MA, LMFT

Founder, therapist, supervisor

I’m Rachel — a licensed marriage and family therapist based in Los Angeles and the founder of Forth Space. I bring both clinical expertise and lived perspective to the work – offering therapy that’s thoughtful, responsive, and built on genuine connection.

I work with adults and adolescents across a range of identities and experiences – including artists, LGBTQ+ folks, neurodivergent clients (diagnosed or not), and people navigating trauma, identity, relationships, or life transitions. I also support couples and families – especially those who may not see themselves reflected in traditional therapy settings. Many of the relationships I work with are between younger partners, adult siblings, or chosen family members looking to deepen connection, shift old patterns, or move through stuck places with more clarity and care. My approach with couples and families is especially well-suited for people who want to show up more fully in their relationships — not because things are falling apart, but because they value doing the work to grow together.

But what truly defines how I work is this: I offer a more collaborative, responsive, and actively engaged approach than what you might expect from traditional therapy. My clients know they can reach out between sessions when something big comes up. I check in when it feels right to. I stay actively involved in their growth – not just during our scheduled hour, but as a consistent, flexible presence. This isn’t about 24/7 access – it’s about building trust and momentum, especially in the midst of deep work or navigating complex seasons.

I take on a limited number of clients at a time so I can show up fully – thoughtfully, creatively, carefully, and with room to pivot. Whether we’re working through trauma, reimagining identity, making a leap, or learning to live with more intention and less emotional reactivity, I’m here to walk alongside you with clarity, honesty, and care.
